Amex: supporting small shops?
Just had a flier though from Amex saying in Nov they are supporting small businesses/ shops in a 'shop small' initiative. Not sure if this is useful to the high street shops or if there are similar schemes out there Sydenham could capitalise on? Never seen anything like this before but perhaps inter...

I also got a leaflet through the post from Property World. What a fantastic advertising tool & they should be applauded for their initiative on this!

Re: SEE3 Town Team Marketing Committee meeting Thurs 11 Oct
Hi Louise, thanks for quick responses on this. I am glad to hear the meeting last night went well and am looking forward to seeing what decisions were made. I can see you have a huge amount of enthusiasm about this which is really positive - & key to its success. I will look out for the minutes ...

Re: SEE3 Town Team Marketing Committee meeting Thurs 11 Oct
So people weren't notified of the meeting to discuss the marketing committee meeting because there was no marketing committee? This seems bonkers. Louise can i ask the primary source of information is though the see3 website abnd newsletter. i can see another meeting set up for a Christmas committee...

Re: SEE3 Town Team Marketing Committee meeting Thurs 11 Oct
Hi Louise, you mention the community centre. Where is that, forest hill, Sydenham? The see3 website still says TBA. I also signed up for the newsletter , but haven't seen anything on the meeting tonight sent out. If meetings go ahead without people knowing where the meeting are we are falling at the...

Sincerely hope the residential units are not allowed to be occupied until the pub is completed. Otherwise there will be less incentive to finish it off & get someone into the building.

Shopping locally
I went to forest hill yesterday & they have quite a lot of good shops & cafes which have opened recently. The high street seems to be really evolving. One thing I picked up on was the 'I love forest hill' bags sold in the shops. Neat bit of advertising, also good way of getting it out there ...

Re: Kirkdale Bookshop
Great article robin. I think kirkdale bookshop encapsulates all the good things about Sydenham. A shop thats really part of the community. I didn't realise they'd been going since 1966!

The dolphin
Just wanted to give credit where credits due. We've have been to the dolphin a couple of times recently & really enjoyed the food which seems much improved. If like us it had dropped from your radar i'd recommend a visit if want to eat locally. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://sydenham.org...

Re: DEAR PROPERTY WORLD
That's great news & definately to be applauded. This has got me thinking, that as part of the push for regeneration & the Mary portas fund that some kind of badge or symbol should be displayed in the window of shops that actively support the regeneration of Sydenham by taking proactive actio...

Opening Ceromony tomorrow - anywhere to watch it outdoor?
Is there anywhere in or around Sydenham (CP, Dulwich, Forest Hill) to watch the opening ceromony. Would ideally like to find an outdoor screen within a few miles of Sydenham so could walk to avoid the mayhem of getting home. ideally not a pub.. Only place I can see is Blackheath or London bridge. An...

Re: Sushi of Sydenham
i think the shops near kente would work quite well as a sushi place (near the station, lots of foot fall, not too big etc) or the place next to the purple medals/ trophy shop near the redevelopment of the greyhound..
Good luck!

Re: Sushi of Sydenham
Can't wait either! Agree with G-man location is key & anywhere on the main high street of cobbs corner to the dolphin you will get more people walking past. Plus your business would benefit from the regeneration which is happening v soon. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://sydenham.org.uk/mo...

Re: Sushi of Sydenham
I love sushi and often have it for lunch at work. My husband doesn't like raw fish, so if u had some other choices and perhaps noodle dishes too it would help to get different people through the door. Near the station would work well as you would get a lot of people walking past which would be free ...

Empty shops on the high street
Something like this would be good in the empty shops in Sydenham. Looks like there is funding for it too. Wonder if we would be eligible?
