If West Ham win the Olympic Stadium on Thursday (which they should in my opinion) then the National Sports Centre becomes a nice, big, white elephant. Which Bromley Council have to pay to maintain or demolish. Crystal Palace can come in instead, if they've got the money to redevelop (!), knock it do...

That's an interesting development. Hopefully any stadium redevelopment would be inspired architecturally by the Crystal Palace itself (but without the tendency to burn down). Are there enough pubs around the park to support a football club though...

(Doesn't include the new pedestrian crossing that will be in front of the greyhound (moving the crossing from the centre of the railway bridge) that is part of the high street redevelopment.)

A Waitrose near the station would be great for those of us living in that direction. It's a pain to walk down to the Co-op and risk it not being re-stocked, and then walk all the way back. Food in Waitrose is pretty good as well.

Hopefully this means that they can knock through the wall and put in a couple more barriers so that we can get out of the station in the evening instead of waiting for *that* person whose Oyster card has stopped working, holding everyone up.

I could do with a Kudu Burger - wonder if any of the fast food outlets will do one...

I read about this and thought it was pretty disgusting, especially given the cost of the preparations for the day (£20k IIRC), which I doubt the police will be wanting to pay back to the couple. I hope they had wedding insurance that covers police overreaction and stupidity.
