I don't suppose they have a cancellations or "standy-by" system in case peeps don't turn up? Their website says they've added another day due to popular demand - have you tried that? http://www.theambassadors.com/tickets/bromley/churchill/4620/milkshake-live-in-my-first-concert.html I know...

Recommendation for Knightman's Garage

Not sure if this is the correct forum area, but I popped down this morning to ask about my car. They were extremely helpful - my being a proverbial "blonde" and think they deserve a mention. Knightman's are on Sydenham Road, on the left going down towards Bell Green. :)

It's awful when you get mugged and it does take a while to come to terms with it. A good plan is to think that it could have been worse. (I have and my son has three times no less.) Someone suggested that I apply to CICA (the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board) and it is worth doing that. www.cica...

Forgive my not understanding your question. Do you mean current stores selling goods from days of yore, or vintage shops that once existed?

Hi. I know nothing but have heard of tree preservation orders. Just wondering if they are issued by a body superior to or at least independent from a local council. I'd imagine so.

Just a thought.

I must confess that the idea sounded gross to me, remembering a TV prog where a presenter asked why a chicken breeder massaged his chickens: "Do they like that?" He asked dubiously. "Dunno, but it makes their flesh more tender." A bit Euuuh, I think you'll agree and hardly what y...

Could local residents take it upon themselves to plant a roundabout? (with the countcil's blessing) It would be a nice little project, and low srub-like plants wouldn't need much upkeep... I'd be willling to lend a hand in such a project... I'm thinking that for the council to give their blessing, ...

I use Knighton Motors for MOTs myself, always had good service. Here is an example: when I had an old shape Fiat Punto I had a hole in the lens of the rear brake light. I was expecting to have to have a new lens cluster fitted, which would cost about £60 for the parts, but the guy explained that as...

water pressure

Have a look at this thread (country-wide comments). Edit: Just taken that thread down as the essential elements are that there is a statutory requirement to provide a certain flow rate (min bar measurement) and that combi boilers do rely on that. The rest, on re-reading was probably irrelevant reall...

I just called the Bridge Leisure Centre thinking it would be better than continuing to second guess on the cozzie top matter. I was told that the Duty Manager (on duty at the time I called) said that a swimming nappy under a full costume would be fine, or a bikini top and nappy/pants, was required. ...

Well, perhaps don't give up too soon, as if it's a case only of adjusting settings, then I suspect you could well have to do that even with a new stick. You could perhaps ask when contemplating a new purchase just exactly how you would get it up and running. Put another way, you kinda need to find o...

How can a rule that's imposed to try to help keep children safe be considered perverse? In some respects, maybe a lifeguard needs to be a "jobsworth" since if a child were taken he would surely need to show that he had taken all reasonable steps. Sorry but wouldn't he be best employed loo...

Hi catscratch. To the best of my understanding, Speedos are very skimpy elastane (stretchy stuff) male swimming trunks made famous by David Hasselhoff in Baywatch, aired on TV from the early 1990's. David became known as "The Hoff" and has self-parodied himself subsequently. It's a while a...

Correct - they're just questioning his integrity by suggesting that he himself might be a pervert or might be thinking like one. That'll be OK then.
