Re: Noise in Lower Syd last night

I could hear it, kept me awake until well after 3am until it eventually stopped. Particularly inconsiderate when you need to have bedroom windows open to let cooler air in during this weather. :x

Re: Kelvin-Helmholtz clouds over Sydenham?

I find all these odd meteorological phenomena very alarming. I fear they may presage the End Time. I suggest we all repent of our sins, without delay In which case this was probably what was responsible for dumping a plague of "toxic caterpillars" on us. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-engla...

Re: Snow!

There was snow over much of the country on June 2nd 1975, I remember it well as I was in Carlisle at the time and there was over an inch of it up there. Isn't there always an inch or more of it up there? We have tobaggans I built in the 1980s when Crystal Palace Park was like the Dolomites. Don't t...

No thanks, he'll be back to his old trick of enticing kids to come and rummage for sweeties he claims he has in his trouser pocket which in fact has nothing but a large hole in it, and then asking them "Can you tell what it is yet?".

maestro, why are you so sceptical and/or dismissive? It sounds like a brilliant opportunity is being offered to those who wish to take advantage of it.. Mosy I was neither being sceptical or dismissive. What I spotted was the irony of someone advocating that others attend such courses, when they th...

Harassing people on the street is an effective way to build a small business. I'd like to see all the Cafe and Restaurant owners on Sydenham Road out on the pavement carrying menus like they do in the tourist spots of Southern Europe. The only place I ever saw touting being done here in the UK was ...
