Leaf,

I have lived in Sydenham virtually all my life and have owned 3 homes with the last 2 being in Sydenham. I too can afford Blackheath, but choose to live here. All I am saying is no more pound shops and hairdressers - not to scrap them all. We just have far too many.

Yes, not funny at all.

I would like to see the end of so many nail bars, hairdressers/barbers and pound shops. The drunks that are always in the front bit of Home Park could do with moving on. We need nice cafes and maybe a nice furniture shop?????

Hi,

My daughter played with my timer one time - turned out she had put it onto 'Auto'. You could check if this is the case with yours. Mine is a whirlpool one -not sure if it's the same......worth a try!!

Good luck!

Thanks. I do really wish I hadn't started it now. It looks a complete mess. I really don't want to do anymore - but can't leave it in the state it's in at the moment! Have reached the decision that I will wait till the nice, summer months come and maybe I will have more enthusiasm - that's what I'm ...

Thanks Lemonade, Have spent the last 20 mins searching the net for Ready-Strip. On e-bay it is a reasonable price, but person wants $78 shipping!! Tried a few TV shopping websites - but they only seem to sell Ready-Strip in America. Not having much luck locating Ready-Strip!! There is a product avai...

Stripping wood.

Hi Lemonade, I took it into my head last September to strip our staircase. I used an electric paint stripper - but my 1930s house has so many layers of paint - it is proving to be a bloody nightmare! Under all the layers of paint, is a black tarry sort of paint, which doesn't want to come off. I hav...

I am all for a new coffee shop. We have too many blooming pound shops and nail bars. As for Chefs Delight - top place!!! What about down the bottom of Sydenham - where the old Post Office used to be? It is so grotty and awful looking. We desperately need something - anything, down there. Are there a...

Hi Lemonade, Just come back from Maplins in Bromley - unfortunately the video sender I bought is incompatible with my digi box (I took the sender with me). Can't see the ebay bloke taking it back because my husband damaged the box it came in (what a plonker!). So, it has now been added to the pile o...

Lemonade, Thanks for putting mind at ease that I am not a complete nutter!! Right, I am looking at the bloody thing now....... The name of video sender is "DSTV Remote Control Video Sender". At the back it has 3 holes, each with name above. ANT INPUT, TO TV, TO SPLITTER. Twisty button call...

Hi Lemonade, Not sure if this is technically classed as a DIY problem - but hope you (or anyone else reading this) can advise. I have 'Homechoice' cable TV and have recently purchased (off ebay) a video sender. This allows you watch your cable TV in a different room. Unfortunately, the cable box I h...

Hey, Lemonade! That is so funny!
