Street salespeople

I am constantly being 'sold to' by the various salespeople who now use the pedestrian area at the end of Queensthorpe Rd. Assume it's legal as it's large corporates such as Sky and Talk Talk. But today I was pincered between two of them who were simply annoying. Do we really have to put up with them...

Re: Dangerous Dog - Brutal Attack on Queensthorpe Road

There is another post under lost and found, detailing another brutal cat attack by a dog on Queensthorpe Road. Are these related cases? It's awful to think that this could happen again!

Re: Threatening behaviour at Lower Sydenham Station parking

I have a foot in both camps. As a resident on Tredown Road, I did weigh up parking when I bought. I didn't however anticipate that residents on Newlands Park would park outside my house as they didn't want their cars scraped on NP as busier road. There is even one chap who has a driveway on NP but i...

Re: Threatening behaviour at Lower Sydenham Station parking

I would be in favour of residents parking. I am on bottom of Tredown Road and have to contend with station parkers and Newlands Park residents who don't want to leave their car on busy road. Fed up of not being able to park remotely near my property. Penge East was changed last year, I don't know wh...

Re: Crystal Palace Sports Centre to be Decimated

School already has a website and accepting interest....feels like a done deal! Such a shame the sports centre isn't the focus of funds. A waste of a fantastic facility in London.

Shared freehold buildings insurance

Hi does anyone have any recommendations for the above? Not many of the mainstream providers offer this. Keen to shop around for our approaching renewal. Thanks in advance.

Re: Is Sydenham Safe?

Hi I am surprised by your patients comments. I have lived in Sydenham for 16 years, both lower and upper. Personally I have never been affected by any crime. I walk home from the station at night and never felt threatened. My daughter is 16 but had been walking home from school since she was 11, aga...

Re: Zanzibar motorcycle races on kirkdale

Walking home from bar 161 a couple of weeks ago I witnessed the Zanzibar at opening time, close to midnight. Cars strewn everywhere, unpleasant clientele arguing with local shopkeepers and the highlight of one of the security guards using the side of the bridal shop as a urinal. Disgraceful. Feel so...
