I actually think an M&S would do well. Products are distinctly different than the others (more so than Waitrose) and it would have the benefit of the Carpark so people would drive to it as well (like Beckenham)

I went to the lovely French Bakery in Lordship Lane yesterday. Wish we had something to like that in Upper Syd, particularly to add to the Cobbs Corner bit. They do all the pastries. Artisan breads, gorgeous cakes and have an eat in service like Patisserie Valerie. Huge variety of stuff and very busy.

Oh for goodness sake, do you think that the average child or family cares about that? Turn the bloody things on and bring some joy to the high street.

Can’t they change it back so that Pizza Express could takevit on? They would be more than likely to show interest once Nandos and The Greyhound are in place and the site tidied up...
