How in hells name do these magnificent buildings disappear?- I'm sure it survived the war. The framework behind looks like the lattice work structure that supported the massive water tanks which were demolished only recently.

I'm not sure which came first, the church or the town hall, but the architects, in those days, showed great awareness. Just look at the symmetry and how they compliment each other. After demolishing the church the council replaced it with it an almighty coffin!

271 Stanstead road looks very interesting. A detatched building which has undergone changes to the front elevation, probably in the late 20,s. Sits quite high and back from the road.I think this could have some hidden treasures and intrigue. I wonder if the present occupants are aware of it's histor...
