Just been to see the model and it is even worse than I thought. I will attach a link to some pictures once I can work out how!. For someeone who lives in PHG the building line is about 10m further towards the boundary than the main building (about 5m nearest to Spring Hill). Add to that the fact tha...

Can some one clarify please. Where did this model come from, who has it and why is it not available to the public? This is worse that I ever though possible. Peak Hill Gardens will be in perpetual darkness as this is the Southerly aspect and therefore where the light comes from. I do not understand ...

It is good to see plans for this, although I am afraid to echo the previous comments that it is highly unlikely that this will be built for some time given the current financial climate. I accept that these are not the detailed plans which I look forward to seeing, but I have to say that the drawing...

Thanks a lot folks. As usual the people who are to lazy to walk round and who drive a few hundred yards rather than walk have been listened to rather than the people who are actually affected. Oh well we who live in PHG can now and are already suffering more rubbish in the street and inconsiderate b...

Ah the whiff of hypocracy - the Sydenham Society object to the nusiance and noise of Sainsbury's extending their opening hours, although that might suit a number of other people in the area who work shifts etc. but object when others (see oyster card debate) object to things that worsen their qualit...

Sorry I am not prepared to move on quite yet. Nasaroc has said that Gillyjp did something she did not. Will he apologise or will he just ignore things he doen't like as usual. Also quote used in his post that is unforgiveable. Yes it was said, but this was a woman on her own and a group of people pr...

I would be delighted to attend any meeting as long as I was able to have my say. In the end I think we need to ensure everyones interests are taken into account. A blanket leave everything as it is, which is essentialy that the residents of PHG are ignored is not acceptable. Gillyjp and I may be the...

I also voted at St Barts and saw them write on the back of my ballot paper. Again I didn't think about it at the time but now realise I have been disenfrnachised by bureaucratic maladministration. I have written to the returning officer about this as I think that this is incedidilby serious. Had the...

Lambchops why do you have to be so offensive. I hate to think what what other prejudices you have! Actually I read the Guardian and run a Local Authority housing department, and sit on the board of a Housing Association. So none of you need lecture me on what social housing is or what rights I or an...

As usual the middle class prejudice of this site comes to the fore. So people in social housing are second class citizens - we are subsidised so we don't count. Will you take our votes away as well then? Clearly we don't deserve one as our views seem to count for nothing here. Any way the rail compa...

Just to let everyone know that the security is clearly not that great. This morning yet again someone was again stealing lead from the roof. I called the police and he was arrested. However the building remains insecure and will start to deteriorate rapidly as rain gets in. The possibility of high w...

I always love it when people say what local residents want. I am a local resident and I can confidently say that I do not want the Greyhound to be turned back into a pub! I and other neighbours find the fact that we now only get the same level of noise the same as others in Sydenham an absolute god ...
Sorry to say that this in not the first time it has happened and I had to jump over the sewage a couple of months ago when going up to the Woodhouse. Whilst the water mains seem to go with alarming regularlity on Wells Park Road, the sewers have also started. The problem I suspect is one of ownershi...

On the news bit there is comment that the hoardings made it more difficult for the fire brigade to have got in. I think that was the point - to stop people getting in in the first place. The reality is that it was not secure enough. There should have been metal security screens on the building - lik...

Not sure there is more to add. Saw smoke about 9.30, went round to check and called the fire brigade. The brigade were quick on the scene - 3 engines plus a ladder. Forced entry through the front and by the tiles bar - which seemed to the the seat of the fire. Lots of smoke and steam so I think was ...

Whilst the order is in place and will be a delaying factor we must remember that any planning decision is finally decided on by the Secretary of State. However we have the opportunity to draw breath. Hopefully we can get a good development which will incorporate the best bits of the existing buildin...
