Re: 176 bus

I dont think a bus lane will do anyting. What about the residents who fight to park near their houses. Bus usage is reducing, not increasing so why spend money on a dedicated bus lane when no one uses buses a fequently as before. This explains why the 176 has had its frequency squeezed. Paying addit...

Re: Site next to Sainsbury's Local - Previously Sydenham Bed

Are people saying that this site is still available then ?
I was under the impression that it was going to be an estate agent - because it was legally agreed ....
Is this not the case then ?

Re: sticky: RUMOURS: CINEMA AND NANDOS COMING TO SYDENHAM

This pocket of Sydenham should encourage other units to come in and help lift the area
We need to gain publicity now.
Anyone out there who wants to spread the word IF the approval is granted?

Re: sticky: RUMOURS: CINEMA AND NANDOS COMING TO SYDENHAM

email reply received... Thanks for your email. I'm sorry that you feel disappointed with the Council's handling of this application. I'm not sure if you are aware that we have supported the principle of change of use here to Nando's, recognising that it would bring vacant units back into active use ...

Re: What *are* they doing to Dartmouth Road?

here is a reply from the council... Thank you for your email. It may be helpful if I provide some background to the project, which is a £1.5m scheme to improve the public realm and road safety in Forest Hill. The project is funded by Transport for London, but it has been prioritised and designed by ...

Re: Aldi

Aldi and Lidl, are cheap and not what the high street needs. Why strive for bottom of the barrel, when we can aim for much higher. So when are you going to contact Waitrose or are you just going to post here and criticise me and my preferences? Lidl isn't cheap it's good value, life is great when y...

Beware dodgy people

Dodgy romanian people posing as clothes collectors knocking on doors to see if occupants are home. These are currently in Lawrie Park Road. Romanian van with Romanian plates Please be aware that some of them are wearing gloves, and this does scream very weird behaviour, and coupled with bank holiday...

Re: Beggars on the high street

I am getting sick them on the overground. Far too many in my opinion, and TFL are absolutely ignoring it. Busking and begging is illegal on public transport. Both are plentiful on the overground. Action to stop this should be taken and pronto! Call British Transport Police every time you see one on...

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?

What I don't really get is that there are lots of new flats being built, which have all started after this Greyhound pub was rebuilt. These flats are going to be filled far before the Greyhound pub is tenanted. Whoever reads this blog of #RebuildTheGreyhound - AND is aware of the current stage of th...
