Re: Networking event at Canvas and Cream 28 Mar

I happened upon this too late, unfortunately. Next time, perhaps. Hope it went well and good connections were established.

Re: Support your local French bakery!

My wife's Saturday morning ritual is to get a range of yummy things there just as they open. She loves the early morning walk and hurries back so that we can all enjoy them nice and warm. Always delicious. I've popped in there a few times too. My three favorite businesses in the neighbourhood are Su...

Re: CROWS in Crystal Palace Park (a film)

Green, jittery things that make an awful racket. They can be lovely though as they whizz past, often flying quite low. Crows, on the other hand, have a brooding presence. Not only are they intelligent, but they observe everything. I've made some adaptations to my equipment in the hope of gathering n...

Short films about visual artists for Syd Arts Fest

Hello I am keen to investigate the possibility of making short films featuring the arts and artists to feature in the 2012 Sydenham Arts Festival. I'm finally all kitted out for this and ready to expand my skill set after a couple of false starts in 2011 and 2010. Should this project come to pass it...

Re: CROWS in Crystal Palace Park (a film)

I very much enjoyed watching the crow break up the piece of ice with its ice pick beak and gobble it down instead of simply drinking from the puddle like all the other crows. That shot of the crow looking straight to camera was an interesting experience to make. It watched me closely and was clearly...

I get fish in there every week. Such a BRILLIANT shop. So, so good for Sydenham. They have set a standard of excellence for our high street.

CROWS in Crystal Palace Park (a film)

Hello Should anyone be interested I made a short film about crows in Crystal Palace Park. I'm fascinated by them. They're clever and funny creatures to my mind though I know many people hate them. I suggest viewing fullscreen. Thank you. Carrion Crows of Crystal Palace Park http://farm8.staticflickr...

Re: Keen cycle nuts in Sydenham ?

My sons and I messed around with our bikes as a summer holidays project. I still ride around Sydenham with my bike all coloured up with bright upvc electrical tape. It's the silliest bike around, I think but it's great for enhanced visibility and therefore, safety. We based our project on the Scrapp...

What a shame. Didn't go there too often as my youngsters were a little too old when we moved but it was a great facility for your families.

Re: <new to town, looking for company over badminton

I too would be interested. There's also the National Sports Center in Crystal Palace Park. Good "baddie" facilities. I was once an accomplished squash and tennis player but that was 20 odd years ago. Not too bad at badminton back then either. I'm sure I could provide for a few good rallies...

I expect it'll be a delightfully fragrant spring this year have had such a mild winter thus far. Farmers are very happy at the lush greenness of their fields for this time of year.
