Re: Lewisham planning 400 flats for Sydenham Road
The plan already says Development must not adversely impact character or amenity of the public house within the site, which is locally listed. So the pub isn't at risk, that's a slightly alarmist statement from SydSoc. What else should we expect from the "Sydenham Society".... apposed to ...

Re: Who's standing in the Sydenham by election in May?
I will keep an eye on this thread - but I’m likely to pick up any questions on Facebook or Twitter more quickly. Details in an earlier post. If you live in Sydenham ward, I’d love to hear from you! Jack Hi @jack_lavery - what are your views on making Sydenham more green? We have barely any greenery...

A cafe has appeared, called something like "Little Things" - noticed it yesterday but can't remember the name properly.

Re: Speed bumps on Tannsfeld Road
Please sign our petition asking the council to review the need for traffic calming measures on Tannsfeld Road: https://www.change.org/p/lewisham-council-traffic-calming-on-tannsfeld-road Thanks Sydenham! Signed. We have a similar issue of cars and vans driving way too fast along the Thorpes roads.

Mess left in Mayow Park
After seeing a few very large groups in Mayow Park on Saturday having large gatherings whilst they could before today’s change of social group size, I was disappointed to see such mess left in Mayow Park on Sunday. Not only bags around the bins but also all over the space that group was using. If yo...

Re: Does Lewisham Council take it constituents support for granted?
I totally agree but i dont thinks its overlooked i think its a deliberate act to use our council tax to smarten up the areas where new voters move into to ensure they keep voting labour. This is an interesting comment; where are these areas in your view? See for yourself https://lewisham.gov.uk/i...

Re: 18m telecom pole outside of tennis club gate!!
That’s a very good point. I couldn’t find the word “Huawei” explicitly in the equipment schedule, though. Would you mind pointing me direction? Take the code references from the Schedule of Equipment documents and drawings and do a web-search. The antennae and other kit reference results will almos...

Re: Masks
It varies wildly; sometimes there are people on the bus that for some reason have their masks around their chin... which defeats the purpose. There will be people who are exempt (age, health or disability reason, https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-m...

Re: Replacing windows
We replaced our rotting wooden sashes with double-glazed made-to-measure wooden sashes with Victorian detailing. You can't tell they are double glazed to look at them. They also have draught-proofing brushes built into the frames. We're very happy with them and they look the business. Which firm di...
