Popped in on Friday. Good atmosphere, very friendly. Food was tasty & very good value, pitched just right for the location hence the popularity; tables slightly cramped but they need to squeeze the covers in as they were turning people away at the door on the night.
Would definately go back.

The worst thing about your story Coll is that the father probably doesn't see that he is doing anything wrong. He thinks it's ok to smoke weed because it relaxes him (perhaps it doesn't make him desponent or cloud his judgement when he is caring for a minor); he thinks it's ok in front of the child ...

Wasnt sure where to post this but just witnessed (ten mins ago) a slim female walking a brown and white staff cross (on a lead) and another black and white off a lead let her dog sh@t on the curbside of Wiverton Road and make no attempt to clean it up. What is wrong with these people? Dog poo can ca...

Hi all I have to confess to being a bit of an ignoramous when it comes to Mexican food. Quesadillas are usually all that I will order if forced into a Mexican restaurant and I have tried them at Puerto Mexico (I was desperate for lunch and the Dolphin's Hog Roast meant I could not eat there). Can so...

Flood Risk
All It strikes me that it may be worth using this forum to map any problems seen in light of the recent inclement weather. Thankfully I am not aware of any problems on my street (Homecroft Road) but I am reliably informed that basements were flooded on Tannsfield Road and that Cator park looked more...

A SQUIRREL'S TALE THE 'REST OF THE WORLDS' VERSION: The squirrel works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building and improving his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the squirrel is...

Sorry Jonekt - I think we might have kept the staff up late on NYE! Was really a great night, staff were very accomodating, music was a good eclectic mix and they turned the sounds up later in the evening for a party atmosphere. I haven't been able to go down that often as I managed to put my back o...

Booked to eat with a few girlfriends. Found the staff friendly enough. Particularly Graham. Putting up with a gaggle of women istn't easy at the best of times. Generally had a nice atmosphere, with a real fire it was warm and welcoming. Tasted a few of the wines but it wasn't until we got to the Mon...

Hi jwright I think that if you were thinking that you were going to get cash rich by buying here then you were probably being a trifle naive. House prices have been on the rise for some time and there is now debate about whether we will be seeing a price crash in the next year or two in the UK or wh...

Hooray! At last somewhere where I can get a decent glass of wine and it's only a stones throw from my sofa! And thank goodness it will be non-smoking. I am so bored of coming back from pubs with my clothes and hair smelling of cigarettes. Best of luck, Michael and Violeta. I will certainly help to k...

My recycled waste is collected separately and goes on a separate truck. (I am in the Newlands Park area) Apparently you don't have to rinse your rubbish anymore but it pays to do so, or you will get flies / foxes etc. From the council website, it doesn't seem to say that you have to separate everyth...

I didn't bother completing the leaflet as it only gave two options. The restoration would be preferred but is clearly not financially viable, the alternative was distinctly lacking in charm. What I would like to know is why a sympathetic build using modern materials wasn't an option, or at least det...

Yes, it is certianly irresponsible but I am sure Pip was posting in good faith and certainly deserves a chance to respond before being banned from the site. Local news takes that little while longer to travel and though I wouldn't want to be frightened unecessarily by exaggerations, I would rather k...
