Re: Late Knights..coming soon?
Great news about the Alexandra. I think Alex nurseries and the pub will really compliment each other. I'm thinking slightly squiffy people going into the nursery for post lunch coffee and cake and crazy plan purchases and nursery shoppers going over to the pub for post purchase garden planning pints...

A licensing application is now on the window of the old Bluebell Woods pop up next to Steptoes on Kent House Road.
Let's hope it gets through.
Can you add positive comments to a licensing application to support it?

Fair dos Sparticus. And I totally agree on all counts. A fire or a wood burner would be nice too and decent sausage rolls.
mmm sausage rolls and a decent pint of Best or a nice malty Mild.

It's definitely in Sydenham. That's what they said and they know their areas.
They're also known for not necessarily setting up in pubs. They've used an old betting shop before.

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
Hi MCD and welcome to the area. We need new pubs because new pubs and decent places to eat help lift an area. At the moment the only really decent place to go for a drink if you are someone like myself - Late 30s early 40s, professional, into music, ale art and such - is the Dolphin. No other pub wo...

Gutted we can't make it. Hey perhaps at a future event you can feature one of my brews as an extra. I didn't think of that. I have a wonderful chocolate stout at the moment. I'm not allowed to sell it but it could be given away.

Re: Regency Club
I went to the Effra social club last night in Brixton on my way to a gig. It was an old conservative club that closed in 2012. Antic bought/leased it. Moved in and had to do practically nothing to it. All the furniture was there so they just set up shop. It got me an G-lady talking about the Regency...

Re: SUNNYDENE BUS STOP
I live near there and like the wide pavement. It feels a lot safer and better for pedestrians. It's also helped with traffic noise. I bet it's made a huge difference to residents in the flats too. And seems to work fine. I haven't really seen any build up of traffic from buses stopping. It does seem...

Any news on this? The plans look pretty good. Looks like the rooms will be a similar offering to what the Victoria in Peckham offers. Decent cheap accommodation for visitors to London.

I think this is a great initiative. And tickets are free. A great fundraiser and a great way to raise funds.
I find the way you're commenting on Lee writing London instead of Lewisham is a bit harsh.
I hope the event goes well.

I haven't read all of these posts, just skimmed. I think Louise's shop will work. A lot of us have to wander up the other end of the high street for a decent coffee and some bits and bobs. It will be good to have something nearer home that we can pop into. I know myself and G-lady are looking forwar...

Ah. Thanks for clarifying Belinda. I guess I was just being sceptical because of the Greyhound shenanigans.

I know Tim.
I find it infuriating that they have clearly told Pat and the Sydenham Society one story and have completely gone against that.
It even says the landlord will not accept an application for change of use. So bang goes any chance of a bar, or eatery.
