Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
I noticed today a very small window that has been installed. This construction has taken an incredibly long time to get off the ground. Now it's painfully slowly being constructed.Just to add to the pain/pleasure that is The Rebuilding of the Greyhound . But it's so good to see it coming back to lif...

Re: Fox Cubs -Sydenham Road / Newlands Park
The Fox Project give very good advice. I have foxes in my garden and am cutting down on the food I give them for their sake. You've got to be cruel to be kind. This is the advice that they gave me when I contacted them about my concerns about feeding them (as I was growing attached to them): 'It’s b...

Re: Station approach - new toilet
They should have bricked up the gap, not put a couple of iron gates there! Rubbish will only accumulate within it from in between the rails and under the gap and then it will be even less accessible for the road sweeper to clear. What idiot authorised this???

Re: Station approach - new toilet
What about crowd funding it to get it done? OR petition the government to get it done.

I've also not been receiving post regularly. None again today. Made an enquiry via Royal Mail but no joy.

Oh no! I love the cafe in CP park. The food is great and the people there are lovely. I'm so sad that it's going.

Re: Station approach - new toilet
Further to the previous post, if it can't be moved closer to the wall then the gap between the wall and the structure should be closed up to stop the urinators and trolleys being dumped there

Lewisham Council - Thank You! Not!
I know there's a separate thread for the Station Approach's new public WC but I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Lewisham Council and the clever architects who designed the special trolley space directly next to the WC. It's the perfect size to park your trolleys Sydenhamites! Seven years of ar...

Re: PFC Penge Food Centre Sydenham Road
This happened to me the other day at the Payless supermarket next door but one from Kirkdale bookshop. The lady overcharged me by about £3 and I queried it and she just apologised and recalculated and charged me the correct amount. Very suspicious.

Eagle, when I said petty I was referring to a lot of the reasons why these incidents occur. Not that the incident was petty, not at all.

Maria and Robin, you are both right. These kids need positive influences and high aspirations to get them away from this petty violence that has such grave consequences. Where are the positive influences? That's what we've got to ask.

Re: Sydenham High St Stabbing
I am so saddened by what happened the other day where three young lives were ruined on our doorstep in Sydenham. That of the death of 18 year old Nathan Murray, the murder charge of 21 year old Marley Lucas and the arrest of a 16 year old girl. We have all got to ask ourselves why this has happened ...

Re: Station approach - new toilet
Who employs these jobsworths??? Oh I know, jobsworths employ these jobsworths. That's why nothing gets done properly nowadays. The local council is to blame for this incompetence - for not putting the right checks in place before allowing this monstrosity in the middle of the pavement to be built. I...
