Re: Sydenham Cars SHOCKING

Uber have been very reliable for local trips, in my experience. I do like a black cab in London for an occasional treat, but they are expensive, you have to tip etc. With uber no cash changes hands which I like. It is well known black cabs don't like to venture south of the river at night.

Well done. The roundabout could be so much nicer. Perhaps we could plant a load of bulbs there?

Some friends of mine went to lobby parliament re trident. Jim Dowd was extremely rude to them. Doesn't surprise me, what surprised me was that he was at the House and not a beer festival.

Re: Gated Kitewood to start building Lawrie Park Place

Why is it any different to having a front gate to your garden? Doesn't that stop the neighbours walking/ parking in your garden? Seems fine to me. Wish I could afford it.

Re: Good dentist

Good luck with them, I'm afraid I haven't had very good experiences there and couldn't recommend, ( and I've had a lot of dental work over the years) I guess it's pot luck. I now go to Half Moon dentist in Herne Hill, 10 mins on train from Penge East.

Re: Gated Kitewood to start building Lawrie Park Place

I'm not quite sure what the objections to gated communities are? If it's not a thoroughfare? Is it any different from somewhere with a front gate?

Not going to put up and shut up. The result wasn't exactly a landslide victory. Will still fight against inequality, selfishness, lying politicians and racism. I am not throwing my toys out of the pram I am not in the pram that is Little Britain. Welcome to the 1930s .

The Old Bath House is definitely worth a look. They had a lot of period doors there a couple of weeks ago.

Any recommendations for floor sanding company? The ones I have used before seem to have gone out of business.

Had a great time at Eltham Palace with a 7 and 5 year old. Really good playground and picnic area. The house and gardens are really stunning and the children's audio trail kept them interested. There are lots of dressing up opportunities and things to touch as you go round. They have entertainers at...

Yes I like the Woodhouse, and the garden is especially nice. Agree that the food is a bit hit and miss, we had to send one of our meals back when it arrived cold ( was supposed to be hot), however the fish and chips was very good on another occasion. Service a bit dodgy too, we were there early and ...

The other day I noticed a shopping trolley abandoned in the gap . I also saw a guy retreating from the gap zipping himself up, the gap is obviously being used in lieu of a loo.

Re: Southend Lane - Lower Sydenham Bridge

It's not funny when you are behind one of these over height vehicles ( in my case a lorry loaded with squashed cars from some reclamation place) hits this bridge. Luckily, I could see it coming and left enough of a gap to avoid being struck by flying shrapnel. I now am extremely wary what I am follo...
