Started coming down in much bigger flakes now. Will deepen no doubt. Just heard from work that it's set to get worse in London tonight. Will stick the telly on in a bit and try to catch the news. I would be getting out of town if I wasnt out of town already!

A couple of inches of snow. Has been snowing steadily all day. One side of Sydenham high street is gritted and is easy to walk down, the other not so. All side roads are a bit treacherous but as there is fresh snow its a bit easier. I think it will be worse tomorrow when it ices over tonight.

It is not my normal commute but I will try and make it tomorrow. It is good timing as I suspect I can still be at the office without it interrupting my day too much. Not sure what the rest of you are on about. I can't abide apathy. Stand up and be counted.

Now that it is immortalised in film, can anyone perhaps contact friends and family? I know it is sensitive but it looks like it is time to clear this away.

I would definately offer my support to a formal petition. The High Street is crying out for this improvement. I personally cannot wait for the works to start!

I think it would do the pub no end of good to re-brand.

I agree with ALIB and actualy prefer the original sign, although I do enjoy your What If? posts. I also like the windows bare - When you are inside the shop there is a nice view right up Silverdale. The Uniplan A board and the wonky /imposing street signs are more of a problem for me as are the bowl...
