An email to tfl did work at the time although it would appear from other posts that this was not for long! At the time it was black ice which is incredibly dangerous on a platform edge. Im sure they will be getting a few more emails now. They were gritting Penge East this morning but it according to...

Started coming down in much bigger flakes now. Will deepen no doubt. Just heard from work that it's set to get worse in London tonight. Will stick the telly on in a bit and try to catch the news. I would be getting out of town if I wasnt out of town already!

Good Luck

A couple of inches of snow. Has been snowing steadily all day. One side of Sydenham high street is gritted and is easy to walk down, the other not so. All side roads are a bit treacherous but as there is fresh snow its a bit easier. I think it will be worse tomorrow when it ices over tonight.

It is not my normal commute but I will try and make it tomorrow. It is good timing as I suspect I can still be at the office without it interrupting my day too much. Not sure what the rest of you are on about. I can't abide apathy. Stand up and be counted.

Now that it is immortalised in film, can anyone perhaps contact friends and family? I know it is sensitive but it looks like it is time to clear this away.

I would definately offer my support to a formal petition. The High Street is crying out for this improvement. I personally cannot wait for the works to start!

Sophie - Sofra is on the corner of St Christopher's Place. I am a big fan of their Healthy Meze.

Anybody know if it is on tonight?

Gaz

I am going with a small crowd on the Wednesday. We are all generous hearted individuals (if I say so myself) and will do our best to be part of a receptive audience.

I cant wait to support a bit of local theatre. Cant believe I missed Midsummer Nights Dream last year.

Aww that's nice. I had a similar positive experience this morning when my car broke down this morning in Bromley. I didnt have my mobile phone and a passerby stopped to help and to lend me his. Also, last week at work, a cleaner who does an excellent job / is totally reliable was mugged – she’d just...

As per my post on the last thread, I love the idea of updating the centre but a mosaic is just so last decade. I actually thought Leenewhams idea with the blinds was genius (v cost effective) but it would rely upon a general improvement to the front facade. Would love some art for Sydenham but this ...

I agree with ALIB and actualy prefer the original sign, although I do enjoy your What If? posts. I also like the windows bare - When you are inside the shop there is a nice view right up Silverdale. The Uniplan A board and the wonky /imposing street signs are more of a problem for me as are the bowl...
