Re: Wells Park practice and Covid vaccinations

I think it's going to depend on which actual vaccine they are going to issue... the PFizer one has to be stored at -72 degrees which not all GP surgeries could do. My mum's neighbour who lives on Leigham Court Road in Streatham got sent to Kennington for her vaccination. So an 82 year old had to get...

Interesting new development to the frontage of the pub. New large umbrella style canopies plus heaters installed over several tables
The Greyhound has also had some "Hot mushrooms" (as my ex calls them) delivered for the outside seating area.

Re: New Barber - Recommendation!

Passed Paris’ barber shop the other day and it is closed (and stripped clean). Does anyone know if he moved somewhere else within Sydenham area? From a post on the Sydenham Facebook page, the Hill Top Cafe across the road is where Paris is moving to. You will see the windows closed up and covered w...

Re: 1.15 AM: tree felling or "boy" racers?

Sounds as though it could be tree felling around the railway, but I don't think National Rail usually do it at such antisocial hours, Actually they do, but as I live very close to the station, we always get letters put through our mailbox "Dear Railway Neighbour" letting us know of it but...

Re: How will this lockdown affect us?

I think everyone will be different. Personally for me, I have been working from home since the last lockdown, I hope to never have to go back to every day in the office as it's 3 hours a day travelling that I get back. My father passed away just before the last lockdown (we had his funeral one day b...

There are roadworks with temporary traffic lights at Newlands Park Rd junction with the high street. It's been nose to tail ALL day with much car horn blowing all day today.

Re: Stolen car

It’s often impossible to tell if a vehicle is stolen by looking at it. This type of information is not available for free anywhere. If you are buying a used car then finding out if it has ever been stolen or not, is a good idea. Well, as it is now 14 years after this thread was made, some progress ...

Thanks Parker1970. Funnily enough I saw that sign when I went down the high street earlier and popped in. Lovely lady said they did the last one this morning and have now run out and wasn't able to say when they would get the next batch. They had plenty of the under 65 yrs vulnerable (My husband wi...

Re: Flu-Jabs @ Sydenham Green now Covid test compatible

Well this is just getting ridiculous now. I had the letter from the SGGP informing me that I should ring for an appointment to have the flu vaccine. The two dates offered for the clinic were ones I could not make as I was away. I phoned last week to be told the practice had 'run out' of vaccine and...

Re: Proposed 20 metre high monopole 277 Kirkdale

Considering previous proposals were on 100% residential streets (Newlands Park was one), having it proposed on the site of an already ugly petrol station seems a fairly decent compromise to me.. and I live in view of the petrol station as I live on Kirkdale by cobbs corner.
