Stranded Sydenhamites

Post by dickp »

If any of you lot were hoping to get the train northwards out of London tonight, and have been stranded by the collapse in East Midlands' service, drop me a pm in the next few hours. I am setting off from Sydenham tomorrow morning, and have one or two seats available in my car. The dog will be in the boot. Well, you, know, in the back of the hatchback.

I'll be travelling as far as Nottingham or Derby.

I will try to resist the temptation to extoll the joys of car ownership - well, at least until I'm near the end of my journey!

Can I just say I agree a lovely offer. A friend drove up to Leeds this morning from SW London and just texted arrived safely. One does worry about peeps travelling, especially in windy rainy weather, so fingers cross for all friends and loved ones on journeys - and of course dickp and pooch.
