I find it interesting more than disgusting. Does he show no remorse because he genuinely doesn't think he did anything wrong? Many abusers don't.

One of the most difficult things about being wronged is when the person who has done the wrong doing doesn't show remorse.

Punishment isn't absolute justice, for the victims, no matter what the crime was, for the perpetrator to show no (sincere) sympathy for the victim or victims, there is often no closure. Rolf Harris and others don't appear to show any of this remorse.

This only adds to the crime. I'm unsure about what Rolfs punishment should be, he will after all, always be a prisoner to the stigma of abuse, as his victims are. I only hope he now realises that he has ruined the lives of those he abused as well as his own. With a suitable punishment, and the show of genuine remorse from the perpetrator, will there be that closure for the victim, and only with that closure can there be true justice.

He has displayed some genuine sociopathic behaviour during the trial and sentencing. Perhaps gives an insight into how he was able to commit the crimes he did and yet remain composed and utterly different in public. He clearly needs mental treatment as well as punishment for his crimes.

Good point Rachael, he looked confused about the whole thing. Maybe he doesn't fully
understand the effect his actions have had on the lives of others or his own wrongs. Up
untill now he has been blessed with the life he has been priviledged to lead himself and
possibly can't comprehend that even the famous can be held to account! He now has 5
and a bit years to get his head around this!

To be honest I think after the life he had and the way it's come to this I'm sure he wishes he was dead.
