Just passing on one of the messages from the local police at yesterday's Perry Vale Assembly - if you have a cycle, you can get it marked and registered by the police for free the first Wednesday of every month at Halfords in Catford between 15.00 and 18.00. E.g. today. The idea is that if it gets nicked, and the police find it, they know straight away whose it is.
Since they were fairly clueless at the former Sydenham Police Station when this happened to me a few years ago, I have to welcome this embrace of better systems.
