A lot of local shops in Forest Hill and Sydenham are on twitter, it's an easy and quick way to find out what's going on in the area, and to find out any special offers and events they are offering.

Thanks Biscuitman1978. At meetings of the Perry Vale Ward coordinators, we'd discussed getting together a list of twitter accounts for local sports clubs and other social groups, and using that to push out local information. I set up @PerryValeAC provisionally, but it's not something I could do by myself, so this thread has given me something to think about.
