Overgrown Bush Silverdale Alley Sydenham Station

Post by markylon »

The Alley to Sydenham Station from Silverdale Road has an overgrown bush. Being tall I have to duck in half to get past it.

Anyone else find it damn annoying? I've called the council twice but nothing done.

Bloody annoying.

Let me guess, Council say it's Network Rail's job, Network Rail say it's the Council's job?

Being optimally sized, I'd not registered this annoyance, but I thought, rather than just complain, I'd go along with some shears, put the clippings over the neighbouring property boundary, look up on the Land Registry site who the owner was, and send in the invoice.

My plans were forestalled, however, by this

I do hope he sends in his invoice.

Wow.

I couldn't believe this has been done. I walked down the alley several times without having to duck once. A sheer delight;

Thanks to all involved .

Very Happy :)

It would be polite to have his permission. Otherwise a clue maybe?

I think it's the local superhero called 'The Green Dragon'.

I spotted the mystery man whilst passing, and thinking he might be a gardener, doubled back to ask if he'd do something about the overhanging one. I saw he already had :) *Bows down* He tells me they had written to the owners more than once, to no avail, hence... I recognised him, but Superhero is fine.

Went along there yesterday. Blimey it really has been cut back ..... with the branches left there presumably for the owner to clear up. Good job done! Don't get the clues .... but then what do I know!!

All we need to get rid of now are the annoying estate agent signs that bear no resemblance to properties for rent or for sale.
