"Forest Hill and Sydenham" is a new book by local author (and Sydenham Society member) Joan P Alcock. It provides a history of the area from ancient times to the present and suggests three walks around the area.
There are lots of pictures and at £14.99 is a reasonably priced complement to other local history books.
A full two-page spread in yesterday's South London Press was a precursor to today's official Book Launch at Kirkdale Bookshop, with the author available from 2.30 - 4.30 pm to sign purchased copies.
