syd: How do you know, or how would we know if buying any? Was it spelled Sminroff or something? The ordinary 37.5% red Smirnoff I personally wouldn't say is good enough to drink undiluted, unless you mean the multiple-distilled 40% black label one.

Don't people automatically expect to hear the clicks of the screwtop joins breaking?

syd: I'm sorry to press you but if you make an unequivocal allegation against a shopkeeper on a public forum then you need to support it. Hopefully you will reply soon with justification of how you know you were sold "a bottle of fake smirnoff".
