Sydenham Garden

Post by Pat Trembath »

BBC 2 to air film about Sydenham Garden on Gardeners’ World

Don’t miss Gardeners’ World on BBC2 this coming Friday 12th October 2018 at 9pm (catch up on the BBC Iplayer). It will feature the amazing work being done at Sydenham Garden.

Spending time with the Co-workers, (beneficiaries who have been referred to them) Flo Headlam seeks to understand the difference horticulture has made to their health, and how it has helped them in their recovery.

Tune in and get a rare glimpse at the inner workings of the sanctuary our wonderful local charity is aiming to build.

Just bumping this up as a reminder that BBC2 Gardeners' World programme at 9pm tonight includes a 7-minute film about the fantastic work being done by our local charity, Sydenham Garden.

Hi,

I got sidetracked. I was about to post about Sydenham Garden when I saw a thread about foxes, doing pest control in London I could not resist to look it up.

Back to what I originally intended. I have been writing in various forums across London in order to find possible recipients for a charitable incentive we put in place. We are looking for recipients for £120 grants as part of our Diversity and community drive https://www.inoculandpestcontrol.co.uk/ ... community/

So to cut the story short we will now contact https://www.sydenhamgarden.org.uk/ to see if they would be happy to accept one.

If any members think of any charity that we should be considering please let us know

Regards,

Daniel

If not Sydenham Garden or you have over grants maybe check out below:

I would seriously recommend watching the video as well as read the article at https://jabberwock.me/2019/02/02/yoga-s ... nham-soon/ which gives an insight into the whole not for profit project which has a real emphasis on a safe space to promote athletics and well-being in young people (not just yoga). In addition the plans look amazing and the space is a huge fairly diverse project (coffee bit, shop, massage rooms, yoga studio, athletics training)
