Next theatre show Upstairs at the Sydenham Centre: LOVE BITES 3RD TIME LUCKY Sat 15 Feb

Post by Spontaneous »

A happy new year from all at Spontaneous Productions!

Our next presentation Upstairs at the Sydenham Centre will be LOVE BITES: 3RD TIME LUCKY

We'll be staging 9 brand new playlets on the theme of 'love and heartbreak' by members of the ScriptHub writing course on Sat 15 Feb, 8pm.

Performed 'script in hand' by a professional cast, including Spontaneous regulars Annie Aldington, Jimand Allotey, David Sayers and William Hastings, as well as Annabelle Dowler (from The Archers) and newcomers James Jack Bentham and Emma Reade-Davies, expect raucous comedy, moving drama and lots of surprises. At the end of the evening enjoy a special performance of Lucy Kaufman's award-winning play VINTAGE.

You can vote for your favourite play of the night, and the winning playwright will be commissioned to write a new play for our next 'scratch night.'

Tickers: £12 full price, £10 concessions. ADULTS ONLY

Book now, in person at Kirkdale Bookshop (phone 020 8778 4701) or online here https://spontaneousproductions.co.uk/ev ... uary-2020/

Tickets may be available on the door, but our scratch nights often sell out very quickly, so advance booking is highly recommended. Arrive early and enjoy a drink at the Ignition Brewery bar.

We love to support new writing, so hope you can get behind this one too!

Produced and directed by Jonathan Kaufman. Assistant director Melissa Chiew. Script consultant Lucy Kaufman

The plays in competition are:
DELEGATION by Becky Danks
LOVE DOCTOR by Dan Harwood
CHAT by Alex Head
JILTED by Lucinda Lane
YOU SCRUB UP ALRIGHT by Anjuli Obaro
MEET NOT-SO-CUTE by Andrew Platman
CROSSED LINES by Mike Stephenson
AVIATRIX by Ida Tidy
LOSING FACE by Jane Walker

Next up at the Sydenham Centre is THE SEVEN VOYAGES OF SINBAD THE SAILOR - for families, every weekend from 7 March - 5 April, followed by Mike Leigh's classic comedy ABIGAIL'S PARTY from 23 April - 16 May (dates TBC.)
