Here is a little round-up of things up and coming:
Dragonfly Yoga are re-opening the studio On August 1st (but will continue online lessons also) - they will have a new coffee bar inside run by “send coffee” who “roast coffee, sell coffee and train people with special educational needs and disabilities to make coffee”. That makes them plus Ignition Beer doing wonders to break down stigma around employing people with a learning disability
Speaking of which Ignition are trialling re-opening the tap room (not just for take aways) and have the following lined up:
6th: #Whisky tasting w/ @exploringwhisky
13th: South of the River #Quiz
20th: #Beer & #Bingo
27th: #Watercolour Botanicals w/ Katie Rose Johnston
Spontaneous Productions will be hosting an all ages outdoor theatre show on the bowling green in Mayow Park - PussInBoots will run from 15-23 Aug, two performances daily at 2 & 3pm. Tickets will go on sale later this week. To be first in the queue subscribe here spontaneousproductions.co.uk/subscribe/
Patty Palace will be taking over the former cherry and ice unit for takeaway Caribbean food - expected to open in around a month - signs/contact details in the window Of the shop for a chef/staff if interested
The library will be reopening for click and collect only in a few weeks
Other than that the Good Food opening in September has already been mentioned in another thread!
Sure there are other things I’ve missed but thought I’d pass on those if people weren’t aware and interested
Things re-opening/new shops
Re: Things re-opening/new shops
Great stuff - lovely to have some good news stories amongst all the doom and gloom from the rubbish media
Re: Things re-opening/new shops
Update on The Poodle Club courtesy of their twitter:
Looking to open again in September with sexy new distancing manoeuvres and lashings of hand sanitiser. Can't wait!
(They are hosting an open air extravaganza - 10 acts and 3 hours of comedy - at the bowling green, Livesley Hall in Lower Syd in mid/late August - think tickets may still be available for the matinee but the evening show sold out pretty quick)
