Rapid coronavirus test site at Sydenham Centre

Lewisham Council is opening a fourth public rapid coronavirus test site at the Sydenham Centre from tomorrow, Monday.

Tests will be available in Ignition Brewery six days a week (Mon - Sat) from 9.30am – 4.30pm (closing at 3.30pm on Friday and 2.30pm on Saturday). Tests are for anyone without covid symptoms, who needs to leave home for work or to be in the community.

The Council are also be offering evening appointments for rapid tests on Tuesday and Thursday which will be available at Ignition Brewery, Deptford Lounge and the Civic Suite, Catford. The last appointment will be at 7.00pm.

We will be packed up and a full deep clean completed in the area in use in advance of the click and collect service that Ignition Brewery offers on a Friday and Saturday evening.

The more residents that are tested the faster we can get a grip on the virus and reduce the reproduction rate.

The good news is that the roll-out of the vaccination programme is going well - and a huge thanks to the team at Sydenham Green GP centre including all the volunteers.

Really good to get a test centre in Sydenham - anything that makes it easier for us to get a test if needed. This location might remove someone's hesitancy to get out and be tested - avoids travel to Ctaford or other parts of the borough inc. CP.
