End of Lawrie Park road closed

Post by norwich_girl »

Just tried to walk down to Penge West station and discovered the police have blocked the end of Lawrie Park Road - does anyone know what's going on?

Very sad. But the speed some bikers race down CPP, I'm amazed it doesn't happen more. Some riders go through the lights at the junction with Westwood Hill and race down the road at unbelievable speeds, sometimes doing wheelies. I fear for any mothers crossing the road with their kids sometimes.

I wish there was some sort of speed trap down CPP.

Mothers or fathers with kids.

I used to live on Lawrie Park Road and am about to move back there. In the short time we were there before there were people killed including a young man on a scooter. And now there's that lovely smooth new surface which will attract more speed freaks.

Time for some sleeping policemen or something.

Paul.
