Unseen (by me) footage of the Crystal Palace

Post by Paxton »

The Crystal Palace standing, that is, and promptly burning to the ground, as it always does.

I'd like to know if this footage is well known, or did I stumble across something rather unusual on Youtube:

My personal preference is to turn the sound down completely. I can't really see how the music fits...

Oh dear, just noticed its full comments.

And no, I did not spot the Upper Engine House.

Apologies if I've offended anyone with the critique of the music - I have a professional interest you see...

Well Falkor does love his techno, and proves by the link to a recent thread to still be keeping an eye on STF.

This footage is still visible here.

There are a couple of new car racing videos too, showing the park.

If you search for 'Crystal Palace' and 1971, they should come up.

In Part 1, you can clearly see the old Concert 'bowl' / venue, etc... Was this in the same place as the new one?

This has some interesting aerial footage, at the end, taken the morning after the fire, which ive certainly not seen before.
