Hi All

I'm looking for a jogging buddy/jogging group to go for a run once or twice a week starting the route in Sydenham (Mayow Park). If there is anymore out there who would like to join me, please get in touch. Just to get a feel for levels and duration for buddying-up/group: Running non-stop for 45-60 mins. Distance: 7-8 km.

Please get in touch if you are interested.

Ferhana.

The Park Runs are great, I've done a few now in Crystal Palace and you start to get to know a few people who do them regularly.

There's a complete range of running levels there and you soon get a bit competitive chasing the person in front to the finish line. :)

You might also want to check out some local running clubs - they tend to cover a very wide spectrum of abilities, but each have their own niches and cater for some groups better than others.

I think the nearest are:
- Beckenham Running Club
- Dulwich Park Runners
- Dulwich Runners

Thought I see if I can tempt any runners to a race my running club is holding, details below:

The 3rd, 6 mile Streatham Common XC Race will be taking place on Saturday 17th September 2011, race starts at 11 am.

Organised by Herne Hill Harriers, the 3 lap course takes on the hilly parts of Streatham Common and provides a good challenge for runners of all levels. Water is provided on the course, regular running shoes will be fine, but you may need to give them a clean afterwards.

Entry via the Runners World website at:
http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/events/vi ... =60763&ms=

£8 for affiliated runners (those belonging to UKA registered athletic clubs) and £10 unaffiliated. Entries on the day (if available) £13. 200 places maximum.

Please give yourself plenty of time to be warmed up and ready to go at 11 am. The common is well served by many bus routes and two nearby train stations (Streatham and Streatham Common).

T-shirt and goody bag for all runners, plus prizes and post race presentations at the Pied Bull Pub.
Cheers
