GET INTO THE GARDEN AND LET YOUR KIDS GROW!

Get back to nature with the kids this summer at Grow Mayow Community Garden Project's WILDTHINGS WEEKENDS this weekend, the 12th & 13th of July, from 10:00-16:00 at Grow Mayow Community Garden Project in Mayow Park, Mayow Road, Sydenham, SE26 4JA.

WILDTHINGS will get to a spooky start with author Eva Katzler on Saturday at 10am when she reads her latest book for children Florentine and Pig and the Spooky Forest Adventure! There's nothing like a good monster-catching expedition to kick off a fabulous day making and exploring in the garden.

Then get your children aged 0-6 growing with Nature Kids from 11:00 - 12:30, when we will be exploring the pond and garden critters through nature based activities and crafts.

There's also a Don't Trash Nature recycled art poster competition from 12:00-16:00, Nature Builders at 13:00 for ages 4-11, Pop Up Drop In documentary screenings for adults from 14:00 and Garden Tales with Amanthi at 15:00.

Sunday's events start at 11:00 with Permaculture Kids, a growing and making workshop for ages 7-11, where they will look at waste and recycling and make natural stain art and then more Don't Trash Nature recycled art from 12:00, Garden Tales at 13:00 and the very popular Sticks & Slingshots workshop from 14:00 with all the sticks and stuff you need to have fun for free, anytime, anywhere there are sticks.

Details for the July WILDTHINGS WEEKENDS can be downloaded at http://www.thelittlegreenscreen.org/WILDTHINGSJULY.pdf or email wildthings@thelittlegreenscreen.org.

Events take place rain or shine so wear suitable stuff! And there will be coffee, tea, cakes and light refreshments (including popcorn and ice cream) available in the Garden.
