Martial arts clubs?

Post by Kavanagh »

Hi,

I'm moving to the area in a few weeks' time. Keen to find a decent martial arts club, not too fussed about which discipline. Can anyone recommend a good place?

Thanks

Hi Kavanagh and welcome :)

There's a karate club held at The Bridge Leisure Centre at 7pm Wednesdays. The Centre doesn't have a direct contact number for the club so suggest attending in person at the club when it resumes on 10 Sept. http://www.fusion-lifestyle.com/centres ... ure_Centre I can recommend them as being friendly, I paid a small fee for life membership although go only once in a blue moon so I'm not competent to say how good they are.

This one http://www.seishin-juku.co.uk/Seishin-J ... ation.html is at Forest Hill Pools on Dartmouth Road. I've never been to that one.

Another one used to be held at 5 David's Rd SE23 3EP, near Forest Hill station. Sorry I don't have contact info for them.

I'm pretty sure there are other ones as well.
