Garage

Hey there,

What would be most people's tip for service and MOT of VW?

Knighton seem to get get reviews generally while the reviews of volkspares seem a bit mixed (admittedly the bad ones are pretty old).

Just wondered what people recent experiences were and what your recommendations would be.

Volkspares looked after my VW Golf mark 3 for years , MOT , servicing , head gasket problem.

No big bills and guys seemed helpful and honest.

Just got my ancient Peugeot back from Knighton following service and MOT. Very satisfied with the service there, and about half e price of the independent garage in Beckenham I used for years. The bloke at Knighton seems positively committed to keeping clapped-out old scrappers going.

I'd used the VW one on Newlands Park which was fine but very expensive so used Forest Hill Car Care Centre on Waldram Road, a stone's throw from FH station, for service and MOT: http://www.localdatasearch.com/london/f ... e-12455451

Not being car-minded, I've no idea how good a job they did nor how good they'd be at sourcing parts if needed.

PS: This is not a comment either way about Knighton as I hadn't heard of them then.
