8 Week Mindfulness Course- In Dulwich

Post by Caro6000 »

8 week Mindfulness Course - for busy people, starting Tuesday 27th September 2016
7.30 -9 pm at JAGS.
‘Finding Peace in a Frantic World Course’
This course will show you how, through simple meditation practices, you can learn to let go of worrying about what has happened, or might happen, and find peace in the present moment.
This Mindfulness course has been developed at the ‘Oxford Mindfulness Center’ with busy people in mind, to help reduce stress, low level anxiety, low mood, poor concentration, exhaustion and irritability. It can also improve memory, reaction times and mental and physical stamina. Mindfulness is now recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Evidence (NICE), due to substantial and positive research in its many benefits.
The course is being run by Caroline Hughes a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) and qualified mindfulness Instructor, delivering CBT and mindfulness courses in the NHS.
Course includes a book and a CD. Cost £210.00
For more information and to sign-up contact Caroline on 07909 995 336 or email: caroline.hughes30@ntlworld.com

You should probably make it clear that the Nice guidelines are specifically for adults with mental health diagnoses at risk of relapse.

"mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for people who are currently well but have
experienced three or more previous episodes of depression."

Thank you for your comments, all people go through a brief assessment before signing up. I deliver the MBCT in the NHS, especially for relapse prevention for depression, I am very much aware of your comments, but thank you all the same, best wishes Caroline
