backgammon?

Post by mot »

Any Backgammon players in Sydenham?

I am a complete novice but would welcome the chance for a game if anyone is up for it?

I remember there used to be players in the Golden Lion but haven't seen much of this in the recent times I've been
there.

Cheers

I play - I use an app on my phone. I'd be up for a regular game if I had time free, which I don't.
when the boy is maybe a year older this might become something to do on a Sunday afternoon for an hour or so in a pub.

might possibly be able to manage once every other month at the moment.

it's the kind of game that I think might make certain places more likely to have customers at off peak times - cafes or pubs.
bakcgammon, cards, draughts, chess, cribbage, etc it might entice more elderly, or retired people out onto the high street, or Mayow Park, during the afternoons, or mornings, or quieter midweek evenings etc.

a great idea - I hope it gets taken up by someone.

Thanks for replying!

I tried an app but trying to spend less time staring at a smartphone in general.

PM or reply here if you want to firm something up. I check in reasonably frequently.

Cheers
