Sydenham Guided Tour Video

Post by stuart »

The Newsshopper reports:

"A curious filmmaker is on the hunt for like-minded London lovers to help document the cultural and historical significance of the capital's borough districts.

Dewyne Lindsay, a videographer and a Lewisham native, began his London Districts web-series in 2017 in which he provides guided virtual tours of the hundreds of London districts, something he says was completely accidental."

This is the one Dewyne Lindsay made about Sydenham:

Hmm. Weird visuals (particularly the opening laundrette clip), monotone voiceover and music of impending doom. I’ve lived happily here for years, but maybe I’ll move. I found that depressing.

The video is a slideshow mix
The commentary bears no resemblance to the visual element
While the filming is not bad the commentary should be relevant.

Seen this guy's work online over a couple of years now.

It is upbeat - not sure everyone will agree - or indeed see it as depressive.

The blend of imagery is good - we don't live our lives with rose-coloured specs - so why not have realistic images ?
