Well, I'm not sure this isn't going to go much further unless you give an address or postcode so to establish which shop you are referring to.

You say that the Iranian shop "sell books" rather than "sold books" so is the shop still open and trading? If so where? Nights are drawing in so working in the dark but playing guessing games too seems a bit counter productive to your question. Hey ho.
