OK , we'll go with a 8pm kick off again on Wednesday 3rd June.

I'll get there a bit earlier on the day to book it up. Today has been REALLY hot. I wouldn't fancy an earlier kick-off next week due to the heat. My knee is still giving me pain, so i may only play for a few minutes. However, i do like sitting on the steps of the pavillion in the humid evening light with a pint of shandy, soaking in sweat and smelling like a musty labrador.
Please remember to bring some water with you in case it is very hot.

I will probably bring my camera again and try to get some better pictures to post on the forum, so please,......no Glenn Hoddle type shorts.

Too soon for me - I don't want to screw my back up again. I reckon I should be fit (!!!) by the beginning of July.

I take your point about returning to physical activity too soon Nork. However, our games are not overly physical. We haven't had any crunching tackles, use of elbows or Stuart Pearce type activities. You are welcome to come along at any point to see how cr@p we are, and then play for a few minutes to get in the swing of it.
I wish you a speedy recovery. Backs and necks are not things you want exposed unnecessarily to knocks and bumps.

Thomas, are you the Johnny Wilkinson of 5 a side? One fantastic match and then a career blighted by injury and illness.......

I wonder if Scott Hamilton is up for a game of soccerball? :D

When is the next one and where? Will try my best to break free...

Hi Guys,

I am new to the Forum, despite living in Sydenham for a couple of years now, so apologies for the late showing. My fiancee sent me a link to this topic and I would be well up for a game this Wednesday if there is still room for me? I too am well past my footballing peak, if I ever had one to start with, but it looks like a good laugh.

Cheers Rich

Rich , you are more than welcome (as are any other interested persons). Just look for the fat chaps loitering by the entrance to the building at about 7.50pm and introduce yourself.

location is here

remember to bring cash for the pitch £5-£8, and enough for a beer afterwards

Sorry chaps, I'm going to have to cry off as my hamstring still isn't quite right. Looks like you'll have more than enough for a decent game though.

another good game. I'll post some related stuff by the end of the week, but I'm already thinking of booking a pitch next wednesday for 8pm. Feedback at this point would be good, though i'm confident we'll get the numbers.

and yes, they still bl00dy hurt

Having seen a few chelsea shirts tonight, I have a rather natty little illumiated (chelsea) desktop curiosity that i'm going to sell for £10 (what i paid).

PM me for details if this is of interest. I'll be posting pictures in the 'offers' section very soon and it will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

A PM means you're more likely to get first refusal

and now,.... here are the latest eagerly awaited pictures

A big thankyou to those that turned up and are making this activity successful. I know some of last nights participants are not available if next week (10th June) is going ahead. Therefore I would be grateful for a show of hands who wants to play next week...

So far it's me and Biscuitman

OK guys, this is what i'm going to post in the offers section., so you get first refusal.

This is a block of glass, approximately the size of a packet of cigarettes, which sits atop a plinth which has LEDs in. This throws light through the glass and changes coloour every 10 seconds.
And it's Chelsea......
