For what it's worth, this is the response I got Dec 23rd last year from asking Waitrose directly
Dear Tim

Thank you for your e-mail and bring this to our attention, but I'm afraid we don't currently have plans to open a store in Sydenham.

Best wishes,

The Waitrose rumour is like the Birther movement in the USA. You can show people all the evidence you like, but the rumour will not die. Not, at least, until the Sainsbury's sign goes up.

If a Sainsbury's does open, it may actually be a Waitrose 'false flag' operation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_flag

Is this old news....

The pub chain Antic are reopening the Greyhound pub.... as a pub http://www.antic-ltd.com/

Also I'm not sure Antic are going to open the old post office in FH as a pub after finding this http://www.se23.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4373

We goto one of the Antic bars in Crofton Park after The Magic Theatre nights and it's really nice atmosphere in there. The food is fantastic and makes it a great gastro pub. They're also child friendly  Friends that have been to the other Antic bars rate them highly.

Yes, that's old news, there is a thread or two around here somewhere.

Antic own the old Post Office in Forest Hill and will be opening as the Sylvian Post - according to their website, opening this summer. Not sure what about the Royal Wedding thread on SE23.com made you think it's not happening. Did I miss something?
