Even if there were prefabs in the Downham estate, the ones I have in mind were closer!

Sedgehill rd? Damn, that is close! Have you got any evidence for that or can anyone else confirm their existence?

in catford/downham.

..There were some prefabs on Stanstead Rd, where it met Rockbourne rd, at the site of Eliza place, for a few years after it was bombed in the war.....not very near Bell Green, though

what were called the bungalows all around the perimiter of Hilly Fields in Brockley in the 60's. We played in the ruins of them. Not sure if they were prefabs. About 1963 during the long snowy winter. I lived in Adelaide Ave then and used to cross the road on our own and walk to Gordonbrock Infants alone!!!!!!!

Sounds interesting, jackieboo, but Hilly Fields is way too far for this quiz...

sgh/Sedgehill road would easily be the winner if proveable...

Bameston rd catford
I don't know whether to give you that or not, sgh! :D You are pretty much spot on, though the exact location is Currys in Catford.

Ah right, that's where I lived, too! I might know your Nan? What's her first name? No wonder you got it... these prefabs were quite hidden way. Well done, mate! :) You want a prize? I'll try and find you a good bunch of bananas...
