It's Channel 4 tonight at 9pm (28th November), and features a Sydenham scrapyard.

I'm sure there will be lots of atmospheric shots of the surrounding area, making it look as grim as possible.

Not the same scrap yard I know, but a Croydon scrap yard was found guilty of stealing plaques from graves, including my mums,dads,sisters, not nice.

Yes it was a bit! The metal the plaques were made of has had to be changed to a metal that's not worth anything can't remember what one,
This was at Elmersend cemetery, scum as you say.

I remember reading a report about two years ago where a couple of drug addicts stole a large metal plaque from a graveyard in Ladywell then pushed it in a wheelbarrow all the way to the Sydenham scrap yard. The scrap yard called the Police and the offenders were arrested and charged.

Where theres scum theres brass.
