Does anyone know what is going to happen to the space left since these two businesses were demolished? http://youtu.be/uKoDqF2uioI?t=53s

It's the two building to the left of Sydenham DIY.

There was a planning application, but I don't know if they will follow it. I guess that (my interpretation) they will rethink now it's demolished and put in a different application and it will drag on for quite some time. I hope I'm wrong though.

This site was discussed in another thread at http://sydenham.org.uk/forum/viewtopic. ... 218#p77218.

Pat Trembath wrote in that thread:
Understood building to exant permission going on off site to be craned in, which would deal with possible problems with erecting a building so close to the railway.

Will basement be excavated as per permission? Watching brief ongoing. Final use for street level units not known as yet.

One good thing is removal of adjacent unsightly flyposting site.
