Hi - congratulations on the great new look to the site and forum. As someone who grew up in Sydenham, now living in Downham, I'll enjoy watching the discussions here.
The most active contributors on our Downham forum tend to be those who have moved away from the area, and perhaps view the area with rose-tinted nostalgia. I'm keen to get more current local residents involved, so will learn all I can from this forum!
Hi Mike, I was born in Sydenham and we moved to Downham when I was about 9 and moved away from there aged 21 when I got married. I hope enjoy this site, some of these guys remember so much about what it used to be like in the 50's and 60's.
