An Intimate Solo Show. Sydenham Arts brings renowned acoustic artists to perform locally for our community!
With support from Astrid Williamson
Since releasing 2000’s Mercury nominated Little Black Numbers Kathryn Williams has released nine solo albums, drifting between folk and pop, each of them deeply personal and tender. Taking Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar’s characters and themes as inspiration for her latest album Hypoxia, Kathryn Williams has produced a work that is ‘beautifully crafted...(bringing) the alienation and confusion of the subject matter vividly and viscerally to the fore’ Sunday Times. Experience Kathryn’s deliciously idiosyncratic lyrics and delivery in this solo setting – her gentle voice loaded with an underlying edge and steeliness. Astrid Williamson completes a powerful doublebill of acoustic singer songwriters.
