I find this quite disresepectful to start at 11am on Rememberence Sunday. Surely an 11.15am start would have been better out of the consideration of our soldiers who died for us.
I am sorry we didn't think this through fully in our haste to arrange the sale.
Some of the houses put pressure on the lady organising to have the sale this side of Christmas and then the date was selected before we realised that it would be remembrance sunday.
We moved the start time (normally these things start earlier in the day) to think about people who would be going to remembrance events but forgot about silence at 11.
I normally go to Holy Trinity at the end of the road & I think from memory they normally ring their bell for the start and end of the silence so we will be able to observe the silence and start the start the sale after the second bell has rung.
