Re: Sydenham Tyres

I think it quite possible that the council actually sanction the storage of the tyres within an invisible boundary. Quite often permission is granted to businesses in this way, to allow them to continue to trade. You should be able to check this with the council and this night perhaps set a clearer...

Threats on the forum

Hi all,

I’ve just been threatened by EUSSR and not for the first time. Should this poster be banned? I my use colourful language but I don’t bully and threaten other posters.

Re: Sydenham Tyres

Not actually sure that the flytipping does belong to them to be fair. A very long previous thread on this forum, (which I do not know how to copy or direct to) is also on here. If you search for Syd society help request for pavement opposite library, you should be able to find it Or search for Lark...

Re: Sydenham Tyres

Yes... they've always been a problem, but it's gotten much, much worse, and the council just turn a blind eye. They fly tip so regularly that even if you use fix my street or whatever, by the next day they'll have chucked more rubbish out on the pavement. The street signs for Larkbere Road have bee...

Re: Sydenham Tyres

Hi all Does anyone know what is happening at Sydenham tyres? I saw a stack of a few hundred trees outside the shop when it was closed. How is that allowed it could kill someone if it collapsed. It’s outrageous!! Piles of trees! Maybe they're doing some sort of environmental offsetting, for every ty...

Re: Sydenham Tyres

It's been like that for a few days now. They also have a sign on the side of the shop that says no work should be carried out unless the car is in the bay behind however, they're constantly lying in the road and blocking the pavement changing tyres. I really think Lewisham council need to have a lo...

Hi all.

So my bins got turned over and my tree has a few small broken branches. I was alerted to the incident cause my front door started shaking. Did anyone else experience it at around 2 pm.

Cheers,
Syd

Re: A Leaf out of East Dulwich Forum's book?

Hey all, Let’s not forget this site was good enough to get Nando’s or open up. Dom it may not look fancy but we get the job done. Maybe settle in first and get a feel for the forum before suggesting changing everything. You don’t want to be a gentrifier do you? Let Dom settle in, but I think that's...

Lewisham council being difficult - Jay Rayner In Deptford

Hi. My Sunday’s are not right without reading the restaurant reviews and this one is in Deptford. This comment chimed with me after the who Nando’s business. For this, all credit should go to Martin Hoenle, from southern Germany. He’s a veteran of the hotel business who has lived in London for years...

Re: Should Mayo Road have controlled parking?

Fair enough about the speeding maybe cycle lanes could reduce the width. My reason for posting is around Loughborough Junction they’ve introduced parking zone and it’s transformed the area. Mayo road looks a bit unloved :D

Should Mayo Road have controlled parking?

Hi,

My reason for asking is that there are cars that seem to be dumped there and it’s a minor but important road which seems to be neglected. I’ve seen the benefits of controlled parking for all road users and I think it would make the road safer for pedestrians too. What does everyone think?

Re: Why high streets die

Bizarre, especially as CCTV doesn't seem to be any assistance in prosecute the street racing prats who are currently putting everyone's lives at risk. Perhaps Lewisham sees them purely for revenue production? The criminals know they’re hard work and too much paperwork but people just trying to do t...
